Bikini laser hair removal, everything you should know
Bikini laser hair removal is the treatment women ask about most and put off the longest. Here we explain classic vs deep bikini, privacy, preparation and aftercare in plain words.

The bikini area is sensitive, both for the skin and emotionally. Many women put off laser for a long time because they feel shy or are afraid of pain. This article gathers those questions in one place, so you know what to expect and can come to your first session relaxed.
Classic vs deep bikini
Bikini laser hair removal comes in two main options.
Classic bikini covers the hair that shows outside the edges of your underwear or swimsuit. It is the most popular choice for summer and takes less time.
Deep bikini covers a larger part of the intimate area. You can talk through exactly where the boundary goes with the specialist before the session, and there is nothing to feel awkward about.
Neighbouring areas can be booked separately too:
- classic bikini, 10 AZN;
- deep bikini, 15 AZN;
- buttocks, 10 AZN;
- between the buttocks, 5 AZN;
- above the buttocks, 5 AZN.
All zone prices are on our prices page, and there is more detail on the bikini laser page. You can split payment over 3 or 6 months, and we accept card and NFC payments.
Privacy and comfort
In this area the most important thing is that you feel at ease. So the rules at our studio are simple:
- We treat women only. Men are not accepted.
- Visits are by appointment only, with no waiting line and no running into people you know in a waiting room.
- The door is closed, and only you and the specialist are in the room.
- Disposable towels and slippers are included.
Our laser specialist is Fatima Aliyeva. In their reviews, clients most often mention the cleanliness and the kind welcome. The studio is in Baku, in Narimanov, at Nazim Hajiyev street 6a, near Narimanov park.
Worries we often hear
"My hair is very thick and dark, I feel embarrassed." Laser works best on exactly that kind of hair. For the specialist it is an ordinary working day, and nobody is judging you.
"My session falls on my period." It is usually more comfortable to move a bikini session to other days. If you need to change your booking, just message us on WhatsApp.
"What should I wear?" Choose loose, comfortable clothes and cotton underwear. After the session tight synthetic fabric can rub the skin.
How to prepare for bikini laser hair removal
Good preparation improves both your results and your comfort.
- Shave 12-24 hours before the session. If the hair is long, the laser burns it on the surface and the sensation becomes sharper.
- No waxing, sugaring, plucking or epilators for about 4 weeks. The root has to be in place for the laser to work.
- No sun or sunbeds for about 2 weeks. Tanned skin reacts more strongly to laser.
- If there is irritation, herpes or an infection in the area, the session should be postponed.
- During pregnancy and breastfeeding laser is usually postponed. Let the specialist know in advance.
- If you take medication, especially anything that makes skin sensitive to light such as isotretinoin, mention that in advance too.

What the session is like
The session is short. The specialist checks the area and chooses settings for your skin and hair. The original Candela Alexandrite laser targets the hair roots with every pulse, while the Zimmer unit blows cold air on the skin at the same time.
On your first visit the specialist will first ask about your health, any medication and how you removed hair before. These questions are not a formality, they help choose the right settings and keep you safe. It is also the perfect moment to ask anything on your mind.
Let's be honest about the sensation. Hair in the bikini area is dense and coarse, so it can feel a little stronger than other areas. Most clients describe it as a short warm snap, and the cooling makes it comfortable. For sensitive skin we use a soothing foam when needed. Usually the sensation gets milder with each session as the hair thins out. We have a separate article on this, does laser hair removal hurt.
Aftercare
The first 24-48 hours matter most:
- Avoid saunas, hot baths, pools and gym sweat.
- Skip scrubs and acids on the area for a few days.
- Wear loose cotton underwear, since tight synthetic fabric causes friction.
- Mild redness for a few hours is normal.
Over 7-14 days after the session the hair sheds gradually. Sometimes you will see black dots on the skin. These are hairs burnt at the root and they leave on their own within 7-14 days. After the first few days a gentle scrub and a moisturiser help. More in our laser hair removal aftercare guide.
Why bikini hair can grow back faster
For some women the bikini area responds more slowly than other zones. There can be several reasons, including hormonal and genetic factors and friction from tight synthetic clothes. If you suspect a hormonal issue, it is worth seeing an endocrinologist or gynaecologist. Laser reduces hair, but it does not treat a hormonal cause.
The main course is 6-8 sessions. The specialist sets the interval individually, usually 6-8 weeks for body areas. After the first 1-2 sessions hair becomes sparser, finer and slower to grow. Laser reduces hair long-term, but we do not promise "forever", and maintenance sessions may sometimes be needed.
Laser works best on dark hair with light to medium skin. It does not work on white or very light blonde hair. If your skin is very dark, a consultation comes first.
The bottom line
Bikini laser is nothing to be embarrassed about or afraid of. You simply need the right place, the right machine and a careful specialist. With us it is women only, a closed door, an original Candela and the option to pay in instalments.
