Underarm hair grows back fast, and a day after shaving you can already feel it. Shaving that often irritates the skin and leaves it red and itchy. Underarm laser hair removal works at the root, so after a few sessions you reach for the razor far less.
Why underarm laser hair removal works so well
Underarm hair is usually dark and dense. An Alexandrite laser (755 nm) targets the melanin in the hair, so it works best on exactly this kind of dark hair. At our studio in Narimanov we use an original Candela Alexandrite machine. You can read how it works on our Candela Alexandrite page.

Does it hurt
Underarm skin is thin, so it can feel a little more sensitive than other areas. With every pulse a Zimmer cold air unit cools the skin. Most clients describe the feeling as a short warm snap, and the cooling keeps it comfortable. For sensitive skin we use a soothing foam when needed.
How many sessions you need
After the first 1-2 sessions the hair grows back sparser, finer and slower. The main course is usually 6-8 sessions. Your laser specialist sets the interval for you, and for body areas it is usually 6-8 weeks. After each session the hair sheds gradually over 7-14 days, which is completely normal.
Laser reduces hair long term, but we do not sell it as a 100% "forever" promise. Over time an occasional maintenance session may be needed.
Before your session
- Shave your underarms 12-24 hours before.
- Avoid wax, sugaring and epilators for about 4 weeks before.
- Avoid a fresh tan or sunbed for about 2 weeks before and after.
- Tell the specialist in advance about pregnancy, breastfeeding, a skin infection in the area or photosensitising medication.
After your session
Mild redness for a few hours is normal. For 24-48 hours avoid gym sweat, the sauna, hot baths and the pool. On the first day it is best to skip deodorant and scented products. Keep scrubs and acids off the area for a few days. More aftercare tips are in our FAQ.
About our studio
We work with women only. Visits are by appointment, so there is no waiting line. The door stays closed and only you and our laser specialist Fatima Aliyeva are in the room. Disposable towels and slippers are included. Your first touch-up after the first session is free, and later touch-ups are rarely needed (5 AZN if they are).
